Spectrasonics. Sound without limits.

Founded in 1994 by Los Angeles synthesist Eric Persing, Spectrasonics has spent three decades crafting some of the most celebrated virtual instruments ever made — instruments heard on hit records, film scores, games and television worldwide. Omnisphere, Keyscape, Trilian and Stylus RMX are the industry standard in professional music production. Now.

About Spectrasonics

The instruments film composers, producers and artists reach for first.

Eric Persing spent decades as Roland Corporation’s Chief Sound Designer — creating the iconic sounds in the D-50 and virtually every landmark Roland synthesizer of the 1980s. When he founded Spectrasonics in 1994, he brought that same obsessive attention to sonic detail to software. The result is a catalogue of instruments that regularly tops "must-have plugin" lists and occupies a permanent place in professional production setups worldwide.

Omnisphere 3 is the most ambitious synthesizer ever built in software — over 14,000 sounds, a hardware synth library that lets you control Omnisphere from virtually any hardware synthesizer, and synthesis tools that go far beyond conventional wavetable or sample-based approaches. Keyscape, Trilian and Stylus RMX each define the standard in their respective categories.

Available across MENA through MediaCast, with demonstrations available at MCX — MediaCast Experience Center in Barsha Heights, Dubai.

Advanced Synthesis Engines

Omnisphere 3 features multiple synthesis engines running simultaneously — wavetable, granular, spectral, FM and sample-based synthesis in a single patch. Eight layers per patch, each independently processed. Psychoacoustic synthesis algorithms unique to Spectrasonics create textures impossible to achieve in any other instrument. The go-to tool for soundtrack composers and cutting-edge electronic producers alike.

Omnisphere 3 Effects

Version 3 introduces a completely new effects engine — next-generation reverbs, modulation, distortion, filter and spatial processing built specifically for Omnisphere’s synthesis architecture. Keyscape · Keyboard Collection

The most deeply sampled keyboard collection ever made.

Keyscape was eight years in the making — a collection of 36 rare and iconic keyboard instruments, each recorded with unprecedented depth and detail. From vintage Steinway grand pianos to obscure prototype instruments found in private collections, Keyscape sets the standard for keyboard sampling.

Acoustic Pianos · Historic Instruments

Grand & Upright Pianos

A stunning collection of historic acoustic pianos, including legendary concert Steinways, battered upright honky-tonk instruments, prepared pianos and more. Each piano was recorded at multiple dynamic layers with multiple velocity zones, round-robin sampling and true sympathetic resonance. The most realistic software pianos available.

Electric Pianos · Vintage Classics

Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer & More

Keyscape includes the most comprehensive collection of electric piano sounds in any software instrument — vintage Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hohner Clavinet, RMI Electra Piano and many more. Each instrument was sourced, restored and recorded with obsessive attention to detail. Hear the difference between early and late-model Rhodes suitcase amplifiers, different voicing and key weights.

Rare & Prototype Instruments

What sets Keyscape apart from all other keyboard libraries is its collection of genuinely rare and historically significant instruments — a 1928 Steinway "Ethereal Piano" custom-built for Noel Coward, a 1976 prototype electric piano built by a custom builder for a major pop act, the Yamaha CP-80 electric grand piano, and multiple instruments that simply don’t exist anywhere else in the digital world.

Keyscape + Omnisphere Integration

When Keyscape is installed alongside Omnisphere, all 36 keyboard instruments become available inside Omnisphere as sample sources — allowing them to be processed through Omnisphere’s full synthesis, modulation and effects engine. A vintage Rhodes through Omnisphere’s granular processing creates sounds that no other combination of tools can produce.

Organs & Harpsichords

Technology & Design

What makes Spectrasonics different.

The philosophy and technology behind three decades of instruments that professional producers, composers and artists consistently reach for.

Sound First

Instruments built for musical expression

Eric Persing’s guiding principle: every design decision is judged by whether it makes the instruments more musically inspiring. Technology serves the music, not the other way around — which is why Spectrasonics products remain relevant across multiple generations of music production.

Synthesis + Sampling

Beyond categories

Spectrasonics instruments blur the boundary between sample-based and synthesis-based sound creation. Omnisphere can transform any of its 14,000+ sounds through full synthesis processing. Keyscape’s acoustic pianos can become ethereal synthesis textures. The instruments don’t respect traditional categories.

STEAM Engine

Proprietary audio engine

All Spectrasonics instruments run on STEAM — the Spectrasonics Total Extensible Audio Module — a proprietary synthesis and playback engine developed over 20+ years. STEAM handles complex multi-layer sample playback, real-time synthesis and effects processing with extreme efficiency across Mac and Windows.

MPE & Hardware Control

Expressive modern performance

Omnisphere 3 includes full MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) support for next-generation controllers like the Roli Seaboard, Linnstrument and expressive MIDI keyboards. Combined with the Hardware Synth Library’s mapping of 300+ synthesizers, Omnisphere can be performed expressively from virtually any physical controller.

Offline Authorisation

iLok or machine-based

Spectrasonics products use iLok licence management — licences can be stored on a USB iLok dongle, in iLok’s Cloud, or machine-authorised to a single computer. No internet connection required to use the instruments once authorised. Studio-reliable with no dependency on server connectivity.

30 Years of Updates

Long-term investment

Spectrasonics has updated its instruments consistently over decades — Omnisphere 2 owners received Omnisphere 3 as a free or discounted upgrade. The company’s commitment to long-term product development means that purchasing a Spectrasonics instrument is a studio investment, not a subscription.

Applications

Every creative context.

Spectrasonics instruments are used across every genre and application where musical quality matters.

Film & TV Scoring

Omnisphere is among the first calls for film composers — cinematic pads, evolving textures, orchestral hybrids. Trilian covers orchestral upright bass and cinematic low-end. Keyscape provides period-accurate pianos for period dramas and luxury brands.

Music Production & Beat Making

Stylus RMX’s real-musician grooves are the backbone of countless commercial productions. Trilian covers every bass style from lo-fi to modern R&B. Omnisphere’s synthesis covers everything from classic analogue to futuristic electronic.

Game Audio & Interactive Media

Omnisphere’s real-time synthesis capabilities and extensive sound palette make it the synthesizer of choice for game composers needing adaptive music systems. Spectrasonics instruments are heard in major AAA title soundtracks worldwide.

Live Performance

Keyscape’s realistic piano feel and Omnisphere’s performance controls make them stage-ready instruments. The Hardware Synth Library allows Omnisphere to be controlled from any classic synth on stage — a single software instrument that plays like an analogue collection.

Commercial & Advertising

Keyscape’s vinyl-era electric pianos and Omnisphere’s cinematic pads dominate the high-end advertising and luxury brand music market — heard in global campaigns for automotive, fashion and premium retail brands.

Broadcast & Media

Spectrasonics instruments are found in broadcast music libraries, news theme packages and television production facilities worldwide. The consistent quality and broad palette make them ideal for in-house composition teams requiring a comprehensive instrument set.
